"God willing, the commemoration will bring positive energy for the Asia-Africa Conference Museum and Bandung City, amid their efforts to recover from the pandemic," Municipal Cultural and Tourism Office Head Kenny Kaniasari said in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday.
Kaniasari confirmed that the commemoration, an annual celebration in the city since 2015, would observe pandemic restrictions and adhere to prevailing health protocols.
The event is also aligned with the effort of the city's tourism and creative economy industry to recover from the economic fallout due to the pandemic, she noted.
"We will enliven the spirit and solidarity of Asian and African countries during the Asia-Africa Festival. I also express my gratitude to relevant stakeholders, including the Asia-Africa Conference Museum, for exerting their efforts to advance the tourism and creative economy aspects in Bandung," Kaniasari noted.
Meanwhile, Asia-Africa Conference Museum Head Dahlia Kusuma Dewi noted that the 67th Asia-Africa Conference commemoration event would adopt the "Recover Together, Recover Stronger" theme.

The theme is aligned with the museum's mission to introduce the commemoration event to the public and reiterate the values of the joint commitment of Asian and African representatives in the conference, encapsulated in the 10-point agreement, known as Dasasila Bandung, she said.
"This year's theme, 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger,’ demonstrates our spirit to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic," Dewi noted.
The Asia-African Conference Museum will raise the flag of 109 sovereign counties participating in the 1955 conference and the United Nations flag, as well as inviting witnesses to an afternoon tea, while the commemorative event is held in April 2022, the museum head said.
The Museum will also publish a commemorative stamp, comics, and mascot, as well as organising a musical concert to celebrate the conference anniversary, Dewi added.
