An increase of 153 inpatients was recorded in Towers 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, from 2,158 to 2,311 inpatients comprising 1,046 men and 1,265 women
Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 2,311 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta, as of Saturday, an official stated.

The count has increased by 153 as compared to the figure recorded on the previous day, Friday.

An official from the Joint Regional Defense Command I, Septiono Prayogo, noted in his press statement here on Saturday that the hospital was currently treating 2,311 COVID-19 patients, while on the previous day, the number of inpatients was recorded at 2,158.

"An increase of 153 inpatients was recorded in Towers 4, 5, 6, and 7 of the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, from 2,158 to 2,311 inpatients comprising 1,046 men and 1,265 women,” he stated while providing an update.

Prayogo also noted that from March 23, 2020, to March 5, 2022, at 8 a.m. local time, the total number of COVID-19 patients referred to the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran COVID-19 Emergency Hospital had reached 159,200.

The official then provided an update of the current situation at the Wisma Atlet Pademangan COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta.

According to Prayogo, the number of COVID-19 patients undergoing isolation in Towers 8, 9, and 10 of the hospital had reached 795, decreasing by 238 as compared to 1,033 recorded on Friday.

"The number of inpatients recorded at the Wisma Atlet Pademangan COVID-19 Emergency Hospital from March 23, 2020, to March 5, 2022, had reached 663,721," he noted.

Moreover, Prayogo provided an update on the COVID-19 situation in Galang Island's Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI), Batam, Riau Islands.

As of Saturday, the hospital is currently treating as many as 255 COVID-19 patients comprising 168 male and 87 female patients.

He noted that the number of inpatients increased by 27 as compared to 228 recorded on the previous day.

During the period from April 12, 2020, to March 5, 2022, Galang Island's Special Hospital had recorded a total of 20,291 COVID-19 patients, he stated.
