Let us hope that this will be a starting step to presenting the new face of Indonesian sports
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) is collaborating with state-run telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia to develop the Sportbloc application to support the development of national sports through digitalization.

Sportbloc is a sports ecosystem application offering services such as sports news, ticketing, booking venues, streaming, e-commerce, and video.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, KONI Chairman Marciano Norman expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Telkom Indonesia under the collaboration.

The sports sector is one of the most crucial sectors in Indonesia that produces many talented individuals who represent the nation on the international stage.

Realizing the importance of this sector, KONI, as a committee that handles national sports, has continued to adopt transformation for national sports development through digitalization, supported by Telkom Indonesia as the leader in digital services.

Related to this, the KONI chairman met with Telkom Indonesia's enterprise and business service director Edi Witjara on March 28, 2022, as a follow-up to an earlier meeting at the end of 2021.

The meeting discussed the development of Sportbloc that can be utilized by anyone, anywhere, and anytime.

"We really feel the support from Telkom Indonesia," Norman remarked.

"There is a significant difference that came from Mr. Edi Witjara who provided a positive response and quickly followed up on the discussion that had been going on, not making it to just about talking," he added.

Central KONI will receive support from Telkom Indonesia to conduct a pilot project that will initially focus on four to five provinces that have been determined.

Later on, the project will be implemented in other provinces in Indonesia.
