Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor of Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria shared his experience of navigating the path of the sky view deck, a new-fangled attraction on the roof of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Patria claimed that the JIS would make Jakarta's residents proud.

"Anyway, if you go around JIS, the longer you are here, the cooler and prouder you are as a citizen of Jakarta," he commented on his Instagram account @arizapatria here on Saturday.

The deputy governor shared his experience of walking above a height of 72 m while visiting the JIS project on Friday (April 8). Wearing a safety helmet and green vest jacket, he walked casually on the 800-meter-long track of the sky deck.

He also showed the view of the Jakarta Formula E circuit whose construction was seen being accelerated from the roof of JIS.

"I am on top of JIS, it is called the sky view deck, with a length of 800 m, which can be used for running. From here, the view is very good, and the Formula E circuit is below it," he stated.

In addition to trying the challenging sky path, he also checked the main field, grass, locker room, and the press conference venue.

Earlier, the Asset Management Director of Jakarta government-owned property company Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Gunung Kartiko, remarked that the path of the sky view deck has a width of three meters.

"The materials are concrete and steel. Its strength has been proven, and we have the certification," Kartiko remarked.

The sky path is located on the ninth floor of JIS, which is made of precast concrete. It is also equipped with 1.5-m-high steel fences for safety, he explained.

According to Kartiko, to reach the sky view deck, the management has readied a special elevator unit to facilitate the supervision of visitors. The sky path is planned to be able to accommodate 100 people.
