Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) will provide health consultations, health checks, medicines, relaxation massages, and simple emergency treatments at seven health posts along the Eid al-Fitr exodus route.

"We have projected that there will be high enthusiasm from the 2022 Eid al-Fitr homecoming travelers, considering that we have not conducted the exodus in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic," director of information technology at BPJS Kesehatan, Edwin Aristiawan, said in a statement received here on Tuesday.

The establishment of the health posts is aimed at ensuring that the participants of the National Health Insurance and Healthy Indonesia Card (JKN-KIS) Program as well as the general public can make the exodus trip safely and comfortably, he added.

The health posts will be set up at the Jakarta Pulo Gebang Terminal, Rest Area of Cikampek Toll Kilometer (KM) 57, Rest Area of Ungaran Toll KM 429, Sidoarjo Purabaya Terminal, Makassar Soekarno Hatta Port, Rest Area of Banjaratma KM 260B, and Rest Area of Cipali KM 164B.

The health posts will be open from April 26 to May 1, 2022, during the homecoming trip, and from May 4 to 8 during the return trip, he informed.

All services and facilities at the health posts will be provided free of charge, he said.

The health posts will also prepare ambulances to take travelers to the hospital, if they need further treatment.

Aristiawan said that, at the posts, BPJS Kesehatan will also intensify efforts to raise awareness among Eid travelers on various digital channels provided by the agency to facilitate services for JKN-KIS participants.

There will be three teams at the posts who will work in three shifts of eight hours each since the health posts will operate round the clock. Each team will consist of two BPJS Kesehatan officers, one doctor, two paramedics, and one ambulance driver, he added.
