"Hopefully, our spirit of worship during the holy month of Ramadan is not diminishing but is increasing and getting better. This is because Shawwal means improvement," Sa'adi noted here on Monday.
Sa'adi expressed hope that all worship performed during the Ramadan month would increase and strengthen the taqwa (piety) and faith of Muslims in Allah.
In addition, he expressed optimism that Ramadan would make people not only pious individually but also socially through various humanitarian and caring actions.
"Hopefully, everything (the practice of worship) improves the people's taqwa, faith, and level of individual and social piety," he stated.
Regarding Eid al-Fitr, he invited Indonesian Muslims to emulate the ulema or Islamic scholars and founders of the nation in making Eid a momentum to strengthen bonds between siblings to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
"The ulema and founders of this nation have taught us to make Eid al-Fitr as a momentum for boosting ties among siblings in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," Sa'adi stated.
