Our collaboration with BRIN and PPI Curug accommodates three important things to always improve competitiveness, namely Learning, Research, and Innovation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-run airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), and the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic (PPI) Curug collaborate in the fields of research, innovation, and human resource capacity development in the national aviation sector.

President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin says this MoU is a form of AP II's readiness to improve competitiveness as a world-class airport operator that manages the world's best airports.

"Our collaboration with BRIN and PPI Curug accommodates three important things to always improve competitiveness, namely Learning, Research, and Innovation," Awaluddin noted in a written statement received here, Sunday.

The collaboration was marked by the signing of MoU between AP II, the Research Organization for Governance, Economics, and Community Welfare of BRIN, and PPI Curug, on May 20, 2022.

Awaluddin said that the collaboration aimed to produce a new process and technology for airport operations and services.

"Technology brings better change and AP II will take advantage of new technologies created domestically to increase the competitiveness of the national airport sector," he remarked.

The collaboration between AP II, BRIN, and PPI Curug is part of the development of a pentahelix-based airport that involves multi-stakeholders including the government, academics, business actors, the public, and the media.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Research Organization for Governance, Economics, and Community Welfare at BRIN, Agus Eko Nugroho, said that human resource learning, research, and innovation are three factors that must be developed to meet the future needs.

"The collaboration between AP II and BRIN in the aviation industry is expected to become a center of excellence and a national flagship in learning, research, and innovation," Nugroho conveyed.

Meanwhile, the Head of Academic Administration and Youth Affairs of PPI Curug, Sukarwoto, said collaboration between the education and industry sector is needed for the development of human resources.

“The role of industry is very important to support the development of the world of education. We really welcome the collaboration with AP II," Sukarwoto noted.
