This increase in village budget is certainly expected to improve the villagers' prosperity.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry for Villages, Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration (PDTT) expects that the increasing village budget trend can boost the villagers' prosperity.
During a webinar on Monday, the ministry's official, Nurharyadi, stated that the village budget in 2015 amounted to Rp52 trillion.
Within six years, the village budget increased by 57.02 percent to Rp121 trillion in 2021, he noted.
The village budget is projected to continue to gradually increase to Rp381 trillion by 2045, he remarked.
"This increase in the village budget is certainly expected to improve the villagers' prosperity," he stated during the webinar themed "2022-2045 Villages, Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration Projection."
Moreover, the village budget rose along with the villagers' income, he stated.
In 2013, the villagers' income was recorded at Rp505.461 per capita per month. Within eight years, the villagers' income surged by 47.97 percent to reach Rp917,445 per capita per month.
Nurharyadi estimated that the villagers' income will gradually increase until it reached Rp2.4 million per capita per month in 2045.
He also outlined that the villagers' economy in 2045 will still mostly hinge on agriculture, at 88.44 percent.

"However, the trend continues to decline along with the improvement in the village's economic creativity in non-agricultural sectors," he stated.
In addition, the number of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) will continue to increase, he noted.
The number of BUMDes in 2017 reached 43,339. Within four years, the figure increased by 32.29 percent to reach 57,288 in 2021.
"The entire villages in Indonesia are estimated to have a total of 74,968 BUMDes in 2028," he explained.
During the event, Nurharyadi also noted that the ministry aims for 100-percent completion of Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
The Village SDGs are estimated to be able to contribute 84 percent to the National SDGs' achievement.
