Research-innovation talents spread across various regions in Indonesia will be able to become a bridge to bring research activities and various innovations together so that they can be utilized according to the needs of each region
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has said that young talents who are spread across Indonesian regions can play an essential role in helping their regions resolve problems through research and innovation.



"Research-innovation talents spread across various regions in Indonesia will be able to become a bridge to bring research activities and various innovations together so that they can be utilized according to the needs of each region," BRIN head Laksana Tri Handoko said in his remarks at the “Young Talents Create” webinar on Wednesday.



Young talents who have participated in research activities held by various institutions that have merged with the BRIN are currently spread across all regions in Indonesia, he noted.

Therefore, those young talents can understand and identify the research needs in each region because every region has unique characteristics and patterns.



They have taken part in various coaching activities held by the BRIN such as the Youth Scientific Work Competition (LKIR), the National Young Inventors Award (NYIA), and the National Research and Innovation Youth Week (Pekan PIRN).



They have also participated in other coaching activities held by BRIN such as the Regional Youth Scientific Camp (PIR Regional), the Indonesian Melange Geology Olympiad (OGEMA), the KIBO Robot Programming Challenge, and the Indonesian Rocket Payload Competition-Atmospheric Balloon Payload Competition (Komurindo-Kombat).

The research and innovation talents can provide answers and bring the results of research and innovation closer to implementation according to the needs of each region.



Thus, the use of research and innovation results can have a major impact on improving people's welfare as well as the progress, development, and the economy of regions, and even the nation.
