Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has invited all young talents to partake and actively contribute to advancing the Indonesian nation in the global arena through research and innovation.

"As the future of this country, the young generation is an essential part of the nation's development, including research-based national development," BRIN Head Laksana Tri Handoko noted in his remarks at the Young Talents Create webinar that was accessed virtually here on Wednesday.

Handoko noted that the momentum of Indonesia's demographic dividend during the 2020-2045 period will offer a huge opportunity for the country to maximize its potential and resources, including human resources, especially quality young talents.

"What is more important is the young generation that has superior talents and can partake in all efforts of advancing our nation," he remarked.

He stated that the participation of young talents in research and innovation-based development will support Indonesia's efforts to pursue high economic growth and surpass middle-income countries.

The BRIN head noted that good research requires the presence of quality talents, who can compete and have the capacity in their respective field. Hence, young talents would be able to support the country's advancement through research and innovation.
