With the assistance of the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Istanbul, Turkey, we have got a link and match program, thus we can focus better on preparing products (which can) enter the Turkish market.Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned bank PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Tbk took 50 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to the Street Market Festival in Turkey to encourage them to enter the global market.
The Street Market Festival is an Indonesian economic and cultural festival that is held by a group of Indonesian students and diaspora in Turkey.
Corporate secretary of BNI, Mucharom, said in a statement issued here on Monday that Turkey is one trading partner whose trade value with Indonesia keeps increasing linearly every year.
Bilateral trade between the two countries was recorded at US$2.01 billion (Rp29.15 trillion) in 2021. The trade led to Indonesia recording a trade surplus of US$1.2 billion (Rp17.4 trillion).

Meanwhile, Turkey's economic growth in 2021 was pegged around 11 percent.
"The State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Ministry and BNI expect that we would not only optimize (Indonesian products’) market potential, but we would also contribute to improving economic cooperation," the corporate secretary added.
He said he is optimistic that the products made by BNI-fostered MSMEs would attract Indonesian and Turkish business actors as well as consumers to explore more trade cooperation potential.

A number of MSMEs fostered under the 'UMKM (MSMEs) XPora' program joined the festival -- for instance, Bali Wirama, whose home and garden decorations have been exported to Europe.
Another MSME was Faber Instrumen Indonesia, which produces wooden music instruments and home decorations, such as radios, shoehorns, and wall clocks that have the unique characteristics of Indonesian wood materials.
Meanwhile, BNI BUMN (SOEs) House promoted instant herbal drinks manufactured by Indonesia’s Telaga Rasa, an MSME from Sleman district, Yogyakarta province, which has been successfully registered with the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM).
The BNI BUMN House also showcased various snacks made by NM Food, an MSME from Tegal city, Central Java province.
