President Joko Widodo provides an instruction to expedite the land certification issuance processJakarta (ANTARA) - The issuance of land certification in tourism destinations can offer an opportunity to people to get out of poverty, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno stated.
"President Joko Widodo provides an instruction to expedite the land certification issuance process," the minister noted during the 2022 Agrarian Reformation Task Force (GTRA) Connecting Summit event in Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi, through a statement on Thursday.
Land certification often becomes a hurdle for tourism and creative economy actors and the people, especially those living in coastal areas, who are looking to receive capital access from formal finance institutions to start their businesses.
The hurdle concerning certification has a major impact on the poverty rate. Thus, a solution should be sought with the help of related ministries or institutions, he stated.

This impact is deemed to be felt more by people living in coastal areas that have several small islands, such as Wakatobi.
Throughout this time, agrarian reformation issues, such as overlapping authority within a region or destination, have been faced.
"Thus, the issuance of land certification became part of the efforts to create an opportunity, to make the people prosperous, and to recover the economy," the minister stated.

Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Sofyan A. Djalil viewed the existence of land certification as something that can drive the opportunity for people to start their businesses more openly.
"As Sandi had stated earlier, as soon as we certify them, it will open up the opportunity for them to receive loan from formal financial institutions," he noted.
The 2022 GTRA is a team formed in accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 86 of 2018 to address problems related to agrarian reformation.
The 2022 GTRA conference will discuss hurdles and solutions that can be applied pertaining to agrarian reformation.
