Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Police Interpol's National Central Bureau (NCB) officially requested Interpol Headquarters to withdraw the Yellow Notice issued for West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil's eldest son, Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, whose body was found on Jun 8.

The Indonesian Police's Interpol NCB secretary, Brigadier General Amur Chandra, stated that the Yellow Notice will be withdrawn upon the finding of the missing person.

"Factually, as the victim has been found, the Yellow Notice is no longer necessary. Yet, for administrative purposes, the Police needs to follow up officially (to request the notice's closure)," Chandra stated here on Monday.

The Indonesian Interpol will officially request the Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France, to withdraw the Yellow Notice, as the body of Mumtadz, for which the notice was issued, had been found, he remarked.

"We have spoken formally (with the Swiss Police), and for administrative purposes, we will follow up (to notify about the Yellow Notice withdrawal) on the earliest workday (on Monday)," the brigadier general noted.

Mumtadz's body arrived at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, on Monday (Jun 12) at 3 p.m. local time (UTC +7) and was directly transported to the West Java Governor's official residence, Gedung Pakuan, in Bandung.

Residents thronged the official residence to pay their last respects to Mumtadz. As his body was taken out of the hearse when it arrived at 7 p.m. local time, residents ceaselessly chanted the Salawat (Praises and salutation for Muhammad) for Mumtadz.

After Mumtadz's body arrived, Governor Kamil led the funeral prayer procession for his late eldest son.

Mumtadz will be buried in his mother's hometown in Cimaung, Bandung District, on Monday morning.

Earlier, the body of Mumtadz, who went missing while swimming in Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, late last month, was found in Engehalde Dam, Bern, at 6:50 a.m. Swiss time (UTC +2) on Wednesday (Jun 8).
