"Children with stunting needed special attention and treatment. We must help them by providing them with balanced nutrition. We must review the budget as well," he noted.

"We know that stunting might be caused by problems in parenting. The development of newborns and toddlers really depends on how their parents raise them. We must provide assistance and training to parents," he noted.
Meanwhile, Head of the Tangerang City Health Service, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, remarked that the stunting rate in Tangerang City had showed a decline from year to year.
Anggraeni noted that the stunting rate in Tangerang City was recorded at 19.1 percent in 2018 and declined to 15.3 percent in 2021. This figure was lower than Banten Province's stunting rate of 24.5 percent and even lower than the national figure of 24.4 percent.
"However, efforts to accelerate stunting reduction are still needed in Tangerang, in particular, to achieve the national target of 14 percent by 2024. With the Stunting Conference, we unite perceptions and build a joint commitment to jointly move to resolve cases of chronic malnutrition in children," she concluded.
