We thank the Surakarta Mayor for hosting the event, although there is only a little time to conduct the preparations.
Surakarta, C Java (ANTARA) - Surakarta Mayor and head of the Indonesia ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (INASPOC), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, has informed that 1,800 athletes and officials will arrive in the city from July 26, 2022.

"The preparations are complete," he said after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the implementation of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games (APG) here on Friday.

The MoU was inked by INASPOC and ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF), and included a number of standards for organizing the sporting event, competition rules, as well as lodging and venue requirements.

The mayor said that the revitalization of the sporting venues has been completed, and all lodgings have been readied. The participants of one sport will stay at the same hotel to facilitate the implementation and monitoring of health protocols.
