"To respond to the current challenges, we need to work hard. Do not stop before our work completes and do not work half-heartedly. Finish what you start, give your best, and leave the rest in the hands of the Almighty God," Uno stated in his remarks at the 20th Dies Natalis of Harapan Bersama Polytechnic in Tegal, Central Java, as per an official statement received here Monday.
He said that drawing from personal experiences, new business opportunities would arise in difficult conditions.
The minister then urged students to wake up to develop a prosperous Indonesia by creating more jobs for residents.
"We must not forget that we need these three principles of work together, work promptly, and work to seize all potentials, as the role of the youth in taking opportunities and becoming the victor is huge," Uno expounded.
During the event, the minister received a commemorative plaque and a jersey before kicking a ball to a goalpost to open the polytechnic's Dies Natalis commemoration.
He also encouraged the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic to collaborate with tourism polytechnics under the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to boost entrepreneurship and digitization, as well as the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Freedom in Learning, Free Campus) programme.

"University students must study and, later, work with the principles of work hard, work smart, work till completion, and work sincerely," Uno affirmed.
The minister earlier made a similar request to santris, or students of Islamic boarding schools, to apply digital marketing for marketing their flagship products.
"We expect santris, whose products have been displayed, to be more proficient in utilizing digital marketing. (It is) because this is part of our stages to create 1.1 million new jobs this year," he noted during a working visit to the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School, Wednesday (June 29).
In the current era of industrial revolution, digitalization can be an important marketing tool, especially for products made by santris, he added.
They are also expected to take risks in running their businesses, he stated. According to Uno, it is common to encounter failure while running a business and is the main stepping stone to success.
