During the factory construction, which will take one year, the district government will focus on preparing human resources (HR) for the needs of manpower at KITBBatang, Central Java (ANTARA) - The Batang district government, Central Java, said it is preparing local human resources by providing them job training to meet the potential manpower needs of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate (KITB).
It has been confirmed that as many as 14 companies will start operations at KITB by mid-2023, acting district head Lani Dwi Rejeki said here on Saturday.
"During the factory construction, which will take one year, the district government will focus on preparing human resources (HR) for the needs of manpower at KITB," Rejeki added.
Earlier, the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) had said that the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate in Central Java province will require at least 28 thousand skilled workers in the next few years.

Therefore, the Central Java provincial government has asked the Batang administration to focus more on preparing local human resources that would be needed by companies at KITB, Rejeki said.
"Hence, we are starting to inventory and coordinate with the management of the Batang Integrated Industrial Estate to find out what kind of manpower they need," she added.
According to Rejeki, companies at KITB would certainly need thousands of workers, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo has also suggested that local workers be prioritized for jobs at KITB.

"We will prepare ready-to-work human resources as early as possible. We need data on the number of prospective workers who have graduated at the high school and undergraduate levels so that it will be easy to map the skills needed by the company," she elaborated.
Further, she has ordered the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) to ease licensing for KITB investors.
“I have instructed DPMPTSP to ease licensing for investors. However, the condition is, it must be in accordance with the laws and regulations as directed by Governor Ganjar Pranowo," she informed.
