Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Peatland and Mangrove Restoration Agency (BRGM) has prepared several funding schemes to achieve the government's target of rehabilitating six hundred thousand hectares of mangrove coverage in nine provinces until 2024.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, BRGM's Secretary Ayu Dewi Utari remarked that funding worth Rp26 trillion was required for the rehabilitation of six hundred thousand hectares of mangroves.

This funding cannot be amassed through the state budget and regional budget alone, she explained.

Hence, the government strives to secure funding for mangrove rehabilitation through donations, loans, as well as investment for environmental service utilization.
