Meanwhile, Head of Bali's Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) representative Ni Luh Gede Sukardiasih stated that cases of stunting in the province were mostly caused by the people's lack of understanding on good parenting.

Sukardiasih said the board had started to use social media for disseminating information and education on stunting.

"Economy is not the main factor behind stunting cases in Bali but it is also related to the availability of facilities, such as clean water, which I think has been fulfilled," Sukardiasih stated while adding that BKKBN Bali has targeted to disseminate information on stunting reduction to female adolescents.
