"MER-C Indonesia condemns Israel's latest attacks on the Gaza Strip because it can have a wide impact and cause many civilian casualties," MER-C Indonesia said in a statement on Saturday.
The NGO urged the UN Security Council to immediately hold a meeting to prevent the escalation from spreading further.
"We hope the Indonesian government, and the international community, immediately take steps to demand and pressure Israel to stop the attacks," the statement said.
The Israeli army launched attacks on a number of points in the Gaza Strip on Friday. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the attack had resulted in the deaths of 10 civilians, including a 5-year-old child and a 23-year-old woman, according to the statement.
"If the escalation continues and the number of victims continues to grow, MER-C as a medical organization with experience working in Palestine will consider sending its medical volunteers to the Gaza Strip," MER-C said.
The Indonesian Hospital, as the largest hospital in northern Gaza, was on standby to provide medical assistance to those who were wounded in the attacks, it added.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupying forces had continued its military aggression in Gaza with large-scale deadly attacks on overcrowded residential areas, taking the toll to at least 24 people killed including four children and one teenager since Friday, with at least 203 civilians having been wounded, according to the Palestinian health ministry as quoted by the Middle East Eye on Saturday.
