The flood-affected city and districts were Bengkulu City, and the districts of North Bengkulu , Seluma, Central Bengkulu, Kaur , Rejang Lebong, Mukomuko , and South Bengkulu, Head of BPBD Bengkulu Province Jaduliwan said here on Sunday.
"Only two areas are currently not affected by flooding, namely Kepahiang District and Lebong District," he said.
The estimated value of material losses inflicted by the flooding was Rp171 billion.
The flooding affected 7,881 families (KK), submerged 19 educational facilities and one hospital, and damaged 22 bridges .
The flood waters level in the Bengkulu City started to gradually recede, but a number of houses in several areas remained flooded at a height of one to two meters.
In Bengkulu City, flooding submerged 2,576 houses, five school buildings, four mosques, six offices, and 50 hectares of rice fields.
In Kaur District, the flooding swamped 120 houses, one school and one hospital .
In Seluma District, 1,076 homes were flooded and two bridges were damaged.
In Mukomuko District, 262 homes were inundated. In North Bengkulu District, floods submerged 1,973 homes, and 13 school buildings, and damaged 17 suspension bridges .
Meanwhile in Rejang Lebong District, the flooding inundated 45 homes and 23.5 hectares of rice fields, and damaged two bridges .
In Central Bengkulu, 1,311 homes were flooded. In South Bengkulu District, 518 homes and nine hectares of plantation area were inundated, while one bridge was damaged.
However, there was no immediate report of casualties or injuries.
