Witnessing shooter champions here in 2017 made me dream of becoming one of themJakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia bagged a gold, a silver, and a bronze medal in the 2022 IPSC French National Optic Sight shooting championship held at CNTS Chateauroux, France, on September 16-17.
Secretary General at the Shooting and Hunting Association Executive Board (PB Perbaking) Henry Oka stated here on Monday that the gold medal was bagged by female shooter Sarah Ayu Tamaela in the Lady Open category.
Tamaela emerged as the best shooter in the handgun competition, with a 1,613,2794-point score, or 77.24 percent.
Tamaela defeated Yael Dagan, who stood second, with 1,359,6264 points, or 65.10 percent, and Olivia Martin ranking third, with 1,080,8665 points, or 51.75 percent.

She admitted to not believing that she would become the champion in the Lady Open category, especially in France, where she was among the people whom she admired.
"Witnessing shooter champions here in 2017 made me dream of becoming one of them," she remarked through her Instagram account on Monday.
"I am very grateful that five years later, I returned here at the 2022 IPSC French National Optic Sight and won the first place in the Lady Open (category)," she stated.
In addition to Tamaela, the other Indonesian shooters who went up the podium include Ronny Lukito, who bagged the silver medal for the Super Senior Open category.

He logged 1,340,2047 points, or 64.17 percent, and was behind Thierry Obriot, who emerged as the winner, with a score of 1,357,8682, or 65.01 percent. Philippe Gilbert bagged the third place, with a score of 1,320,1843 points, or 63.21 percent.
Moreover, Indonesian junior shooter Vincentius Djajadiningrat, who competed in the Production Optics category, brought home the bronze medal after scoring 1,866,9782 points, or 96.80 percent, standing behind Michal Stepan, who emerged as the champion with a record score of 1,928,6228, or 100 percent, and Kahlil Adrian Viray in the second place, with 1,920,0583, or 99.56 percent.
Another Indonesian shooter, who competed in the Production Optics category, was Christian Pratama, placed fifth, with a score of 1,743,6165, or 90.41 percent.
