The medical personnel's support is a follow up to President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi's) directive after sending humanitarian aid to the Pakistani government that contains logistics, equipment, and funds worth US$1 million on September 27.

"Today, I am deploying the medical team, as a form of our humanitarian aid to Pakistan. This is a follow-up to President Jokowi's directive to send social assistance to Pakistan. On September 27, two planes were dispatched carrying the necessary logistics for refugees in Pakistan," Suharyanto remarked.
