"The G20 leaders are aware of the importance of the impact of climate change on the world economy," Yanto told Antara on Sunday.
He explained that the commitment was outlined in order to accelerate the reduction of the rate of temperature increase through cooperation in a broad field.
"The commitments contained in the leaders' declaration also cover the food, energy and biodiversity sectors," he said.

This, he said, needs to be appreciated as a form of commitment from leaders regarding climate change mitigation and efforts to increase climate resilience.
"Mitigation of climate change in a broad scope is very important to support the achievement of the agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs 2030," he said.
He also hoped that the implementation of climate change mitigation programs in the future will also focus on the availability of water supply and access to clean water.
"Climate change mitigation in energy and food sectors also needs to be accompanied by mitigation in water sector to create a balanced system. Therefore, mitigating climate change in water sector is crucial," he said.

He also reminded the importance of climate change mitigation efforts in the disaster sector or efforts to reduce disaster risk due to climate change.
"For example, damage to infrastructure due to disasters will disrupt economic activities because disasters have proven to cause large economic losses," he said.
"Hence, efforts to reduce the risk of disasters due to climate change are very important," he said .
Meanwhile, the G20 Summit which took place in Bali on 15-16 November 2022 adopted the Leaders' Declaration.
Several G20 heads of state agreed on the need to uphold international law and the multilateral system.
In addition, they also agreed on the need to deal with the economic crisis, including through international macro policy cooperation, pursuing food and energy security, and adopting digital technology to encourage innovation .
