Various attempts have been made to increase human resources (quality), one of which is through revitalization of the education sector as stated in Presidential Decree Number 68 of 2022.
Bogor, W Java (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah called on the National Movement for Competent Indonesia (GNIK) to help implement mandatory work competency certification according to Manpower Minister’s Decree Number 115 of 2022.

"I want to encourage various associations engaged in the competency sector, such as the GNIK, to ask their members, especially those from the human resource management sector, to support this ministerial decree," she stated on Saturday.

The minister expected GNIK members to push employees and managers at their offices to take competency certification, so that their work abilities can be recognized in the national and global job markets.

"This ministerial decree imposes mandatory competency certification to create a competent workforce, increase workforce competitiveness, and build harmonious industrial relations in companies," the minister stated virtually at the "Collaboration Towards Competent Indonesia 2030" event.

She remarked that the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) would also be involved in implementing the ministerial decree to facilitate human resource sector stakeholders to conduct the certification.

In addition, her side has readied a digital employment ecosystem called "SIAP Kerja" to facilitate workers and employers to get competency certification services.

Fauziyah noted that implementation of the mandatory work competency certification was in accordance with President Joko Widodo's mandate as well as the 2020-2024 Mid-Term National Development Program (RPJMN).

Some 300 human resource management directors attended the "Collaboration Towards Competent Indonesia 2030" event held by GNIK at the state-run Social Security Agency (BPJS) Institute here on Saturday.

The event discussed several agendas included formulating the quality of future national leadership in Indonesia, compiling the "Towards a Competent Indonesia in 2030" roadmap, as well as discussing the implementation of human resource management practitioner certification referring to Manpower Minister’s Decree Number 115 of 2022.
