Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Police-affiliated organisation Police Sons and Daughters Family (KBPP Polri) held an audience with Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at his official residence, here on Wednesday, to present details on the organization's development.

"We explained to the vice president about KBPP that continues to develop itself into a solid, modern, independent, and respected organization to support the transformation of the National Police," KBPP Chairperson Evita Nursanty remarked.

Nursanty said the objective of the meeting was to maintain friendships with government leaders, in addition to presenting the organization's development and its contribution as well as discussing various current national and global issues.

She said that the KBPP supports the National Police (Polri) in fulfilling its mission. The audience was also held to strengthen the relations among Polri, the government, and the public.

The KBPP was established in 2003 and its core members are children and grandchildren of Polri members, while ordinary members are the spouses of core members as well as children of the state apparatus (ASN) working in the Police organization.

This community and youth organization seeks to increase the potential of all members and makes them the drivers of national development to realize a just and prosperous society based on the state ideology of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.

According to Nursanty, KBPP Polri has implemented several programs whose benefits can be felt by the community, such as becoming the organization that sent the most volunteers for COVID-19 tracing throughout Indonesia.

It also actively distributes aid for the victims of natural disasters, including for the recent Cianjur earthquake, by deploying regional administrators in nearby areas, such as West Java and Jakarta.

KBPP Polri also organizes free medical treatment, blood donation, mass circumcision, and environmental actions, as well as organizes educational activities and training in addition to fostering young football talents through the KBPP Polri Cup, among others.

In total, the organization has prepared some 119 work programs through the national work meeting in May 2022.
