Digital skills and English language capability are crucial for surviving in an era of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA), he added.
According to the rector of Mercu Buana University, Andi Andriasyah, everyone must actively embrace technology so that they are not left behind in this digital era.
Almost every aspect of our life is now closely tied to digital technology. Time and space are no longer hurdles to human involvement, he noted.
The Internet has given us several options for broadening participation in the international world. One of the important prerequisites for Indonesians to embrace the global community is the knowledge of English, which functions as a global universal language, he added.
