Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - The Denpasar Police of Bali Province welcomed the visit of an official from the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Indonesia to discuss the presence and conditions of Argentine nationals in Bali on Thursday .

Chief of the Denpasar Police Senior Commissioner Bambang Yugo Pamungkas stated that the meeting with the Argentine Embassy's Consular Section Chief, Maria Jimena Autiero Simari, aimed to enhance cooperation on issues involving Argentine nationals in regions under Denpasar Police's jurisdiction.

"The visit of the Argentine Embassy representative (to Denpasar Police) is to enhance collaboration and exchange information in the security aspect, particularly on issues involving Argentine nationals in Bali occurring within the Denpasar Police's jurisdiction," Pamungkas stated.

During the meeting, he informed the embassy official that to date, no Argentine nationals had been implicated in any legal cases in Denpasar, either as suspects or victims.

The police chief also expressed hope that they would directly coordinate with the Argentine Embassy in Jakarta if any Argentine national were to be found involved in legal cases in Denpasar.

Meanwhile, Simari expressed relief that the Denpasar Police reported no Argentine nationals as being implicated in any legal cases in the province's capital.

The embassy section chief admitted to being impressed by the service offered by the Denpasar Police to the public, especially their constant presence in various areas in Bali to maintain security.

She also noted that security conditions that are under control make domestic and foreign tourists comfortable to spend their holidays or stay in Bali.

Simari then urged the Denpasar Police to promptly contact the Argentine Embassy if any Argentine national were to be implicated in any legal issues or violations in Denpasar, while legal actions according to national laws would be taken against the individual.
