"For the time being, we have 936 MSMEs that we invited to sell their products through auctions,"
DJKN's Director of Auction Joko Prihanto stated at an online media conference observed here Friday.
The DJKN also educates them in the matter of information technology as one of the issues faced by MSMEs actors are on digital transformation, ge said.
Through the government auction platform lelang.go.id, the director expressed hope that more MSMEs would be acquainted with an alternative method of selling their products to the wider market audience.
The ministry's DJKN is also supportive of the MSME development by providing training sessions in auction application, marketing, promotion of auctioned products, and social media use, he noted.
"All actions to empower MSMEs through the auction will be directed to the lelang.go.id platform, which has a distinct market segment as compared with the usual digital marketing platform," Prihanto stated.
He noted that Finance Minister's Regulation No. 95 of 2022 issued last year intended to facilitate MSMEs participating in auctions, including by providing zero-percent auction fee for them.
"Another relaxation is the exemption of bid deposit for potential customers of MSMEs products in lelang.go.id. They are also allowed to advertise their products on the platform until sold," the director explained.
The Directorate General of State Assets is committed to organizing more activities to empower MSMEs, including to promote auctions for them.
"We hope that with digital education, MSMEs actors using digital platforms, whose number is only at 13 percent now, could increase to become more MSMEs that are digitally literate and capable of digital transformation," Prihanto remarked.
