The termination is based on the recommendation from the Inspectorate General at the Finance Ministry following the findings obtained from an investigation on RAT's assets.
"The recommendation has been issued, and Mrs finance minister has approved it," Inspector General at the Finance Ministry Awan Nurmawan Nuh noted during a press conference here on Wednesday.
The findings, leading to the recommendation for RAT's termination, are obtained from three teams, each tasked with examining the former official's assets, probing on unreported assets, and investigating allegations of fraud, he elaborated.
The inspectorate general inspected all assets reported by the first team that conducted an examination of RAT's assets and matched the data with the proof of ownership. They found that some assets had no authentic proof of ownership.
This team also conducted further investigation into assets made public in social media, in the form of video, photos, or through other ways.
The second team, in charge of probing unreported assets, found some profit from a rental business that had not been reported.
They also found that RAT did not report all his assets that include cash and buildings, and some of his assets were also placed under the names of his parents, siblings, and peers, among other family relatives.
The third team, investigating allegations of fraud, came across four findings, with the first being about RAT's conduct and had shown no integrity or discipline in his actions and speech, both in his daily life and at work.
"Trisambodo also did not appropriately disclose (his wealth in) State Apparatus' Assets Report (LHKPN), was undisciplined at reporting and paying tax, and he and his family adopts a lifestyle that does not conform to the value of appropriateness that must be upheld as state civil apparatus," he pointed out.
Under the second finding, Trisambodo failed to report his assets to relevant authorities as per applicable law, while the third finding indicated that he had used his position to cause conflicts of interests, he pointed out.
As per the fourth finding, there is another source of information that showed that RAT was attempting to conceal his assets and the method of acquisition, he added.
