Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry is aiming to add 26 thousand workers to the industry through the Competence-Based Industry Human Resources Education and Training (Diklat) held by the Industry Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) this year.

"Diklat and schools in the ministry have already been connected with the industry, and God willing it (workers) can be absorbed by the industry," BPSDMI head Masrokhan said here on Monday.

The ministry's Diklat program was designed with the 3 in 1 Diklat system, which encompasses training, certification, and work placement.

With this, the Diklat program is expected to provide access to its participants to work in the industry.

Meanwhile, in addition to the Diklat, the ministry is also preparing industry human resources through the Dual System-Based Industry Vocation Education program.

The ministry has just opened the fourth Industry Vocation Acceptance Route (JARVIS) to absorb 4,053 new university students who will attend the Community Polytechnic and Academy and 2,399 students from vocational schools under the ministry.

JARVIS will be open from April 10 to May 19, 2023. The entire registration process will remain online through the website jarvis.kemenperin.go.id.

Much like the Diklat system, the ministry's vocational education system will also provide access to job placements for participants after they graduate.

"We involve the industry every time we recruit. The curriculum and placement also involve the industry," Masrokhan said.

He added that the ministry will continue to push the involvement of industry players and all vocational schools in Indonesia in the future.

This will be undertaken so that the effort to prepare human resources that match the industry's demand can be accurate.

The ministry has partnered with 1,600 industry players and held dual system education that is linked and matched with the industry. This partnership ranges from recruitment, industry work practice, to work placement.
