The cyclone was observed in the Indian Ocean, approximately 580 km south-southwest of Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
"This system is moving southwest, at a speed of nine knots, or 17 kilometers per hour," Head of the BMKG Region III Denpasar Cahyo Nugroho stated here on Wednesday.
The BMKG said the potential indirect impact of the cyclone on Bali would be moderate to heavy-intensity rains, accompanied by lightning and strong winds in most areas of Bali.
There is also a potential for high waves, ranging from 1.25 to 2.5 meters, in the southern part of Bali Strait, southern part of Lombok Strait, Badung Strait, and South Alas Strait, which could impact fishermen and shipping or marine tourism operators.
In addition, the potential for high waves, reaching 2.5 to four meters in height, can occur in the Indian Ocean in the southern part of Bali to West Nusa Tenggara.
The public is urged to remain vigilant and cautious, given the potential for disasters such as strong winds, fallen trees, lightning, floods, puddles, and landslides.

Users and operators of sea transportation services, fishermen, those involved in marine tourism and people active around coastal areas are also advised to be aware of the potential for sea waves reaching a height of two meters or more.
Based on BMKG's satellite images monitored on Tuesday (Apr 11) at 08:00 p.m. local time, the cyclone is precisely located at around 15.2 degrees south latitude (LS) and 120.5 degrees east longitude (BT), with wind speeds around the center of the cyclone reaching 55 knots or 100 kilometers per hour.
Additionally, the minimum air pressure was recorded at 985 millibars, and the intensity of tropical cyclone Ilsa is expected to increase in the next 24 hours and move southwest away from the Indonesian territory.
