"It is essential to have up-to-date data to serve as a reference for efforts aimed at empowering and improving the quality of people's lives, so that they can be more focused," she noted in a written statement received on Tuesday.
Moerdijat made the statement in response to a program of the National Development Planning Ministry related to socio-economic registration, which aims to build a strong database covering all citizens.
The ministry has emphasized the importance of data-based empowerment programs.
According to Moerdijat, up-to-date data related to several aspects, such as educational levels, welfare, health, and community economy, is essential in ensuring more effective development of human resources.
She assessed that without valid data, various budget allocations to improve the people's welfare, expected to lead to an improvement in the quality of the nation's children, would be in vain.
To this end, she emphasized the need for all parties to support the government's efforts in building up-to-date and integrated community socio-economic data.
Stakeholders in regions and the community must provide accurate data so that the data obtained through the national socio-economic registration process is valid and can be used as a basis for handling several issues and improving the quality of human resources.
Once the socio-economic registration process is completed, she hoped that the data could be disseminated immediately so that several parties could use it for improvement purposes in various sectors.
The MPR deputy speaker also encouraged sound collaboration between stakeholders at the central and regional levels as well as with the community to accelerate the utilization of the community's socio-economic data to support better development of human resources.
