"Continue to pay attention to the health aspect. We are still in the transition process from a COVID-19 pandemic to an endemic," he said here on Thursday.
The government has given freedom to people to join the exodus this year after limiting Eid travel in the previous years to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, Sa'adi noted.
The freedom must be used as well as possible by following all the directions given by the government, he said.
The government has also made several preparations, such as in the aspect of road infrastructure, vehicle eligibility, and ferry ports, in order to provide convenience to the community.
"We from the Ministry of Religious Affairs hope that the opportunity that has been provided will be used as well as possible, and please follow the directives or provisions set by the government," the deputy minister added.
He further said that people are also allowed to carry out Eid prayers without being limited by strict health protocols this year.
"There are no more restrictions, be it distance or other health protocols. Keep maintaining personal health," he told people.
Earlier, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy appealed to the community to ensure their health before joining the exodus for the sake of safety and comfort during the journey.
"We remind people to prepare themselves and ensure their health conditions before leaving for the exodus to support a smooth exodus trip," he said.
The minister underlined that if prospective exodus travelers feel unwell, it is advisable that they postpone the trip until their health improves.
He also reminded people to check their vehicles' condition first before using them for the exodus.
