Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry will explore cooperation between universities and the industry at the Hannover Messe 2023 to improve the quality of human resources (HR).

"We want to show how the transformation of vocational education through the Freedom in Learning (Merdeka Belajar/Independent Learning) policy in Indonesia can prepare quality human resources," Director General of Vocational Education at the Ministry Kiki Yuliati remarked here on Friday.

At the Hannover Messe, the ministry will showcase good practices and top products that resulted from the vocational education transformation program.

Yuliati explained that Hannover Messe 2023 is an opportunity to show that vocational education in Indonesia is able to produce great human resources that align with key drivers of the country's development.

She said, vocational education has been the government's priority in preparing human resources to realize the Golden Indonesia vision and the Making Indonesia 4.0 road map.

Innovative products of vocational education that will be showcased at Hannover Messe include Humanoid Robot by the Batam State Polytechnic (Polibatam) and a fabrication laboratory from the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Vocational School.

Her side will also display the electric vehicle ecosystem being developed by the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) that includes Flex Ev, an electric car product, a solar-powered electric car charging station, and an electric vehicle conversion workshop.

In demonstrating Indonesia's support for sustainability, the ministry will showcase an eco-material innovation in the form of bioplastics made from nata de coco and varnish from palm oil, made by the State Polytechnic of Creative Media Jakarta.

There are also animation works by Polibatam with its "Ficusia" animation film and works by the Raden Umar Said Vocational High School from Kudus, Central Java.

Yuliati ensured that her side will seek opportunities for cooperation with global strategic partners to increase international exposure for vocational education at the Hannover Messe 2023.

Indonesia is again trusted to become the official Partner Country at this year's Hannover Messe.

Some 13 participating ministries and institutions, including the Directorate General of Vocational Education, will represent the Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry at the event.
