Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics is promoting four domestic start-up companies -- Imajin, Prieds, Amoda, and Kecilin -- through venture capital engagement at the 2023 Hannover Messe in Hannover, Germany.

The ministry's director of informatics empowerment from the directorate general of informatics application, Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, expressed optimism that the promotion would help these start-ups to expand their businesses overseas.

"We hope they will not only dominate the Indonesian market but also foreign markets," Pudjianto noted in an official statement received here, Wednesday.

He remarked that the four start-ups were selected on the basis of their potential to receive investment from venture capitalists or individuals.

Pudjianto remarked that these start-ups are introduced to investors and business partners, both local and foreign. In this engagement activity, venture capitalists were also invited to listen to presentations from these start-up founders.

CEO and Co-Founder of Imajin, Chendy Jaya, lauded the ministry's support to assist and facilitate them to participate in the 2023 Hannover Messe.

"The ministry helped us a lot ever since before the departure to Hannover Messe and during the trip, especially during the event," Jaya remarked.

He noted that the ministry also offers ample exposure, both domestically and abroad, for them to meet with the right stakeholders.

"Together with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, we hope we can match with a strategic partner and also be introduced to business partners and investors to benefit us in the future," he remarked.

In the European Venture Capital Engagement Seminar at Hall 2 of the Indonesia Pavilion, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics also introduced the 2023 HUB.ID Summit as a business meeting center between digital start-ups, local and global venture capital companies, industry, ministries and institutions, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and business partners.

The 2023 Hannover Messe takes place at the Hannover Fairground, Hannover, Germany, on April 17-21, 2023, with various technologies and innovations in the industry from across the world being showcased.
