Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that the land acquisition process at Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan is ongoing through cross-ministerial support.

"The process of acquiring land at IKN is continuing. Currently, the government is preparing land through a forest area release mechanism at IKN," Deputy for Planning and Land Affairs of OIKN Mia Amalia noted in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

Amalia remarked that the step aligned with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 65 of 2022 on Land Acquisition and Land Management in IKN, which states that land acquisition in IKN is conducted through two mechanisms, i.e., forest area released and land acquisition.

Furthermore, land in IKN obtained from the release of a forest area and/or land acquisition will be determined as state property (BMN) and/or assets under control (ADP).

Amalia said that for land acquisition in IKN, management rights (HPL) will be given to the IKN Authority and specifically for the land that becomes ADP and then cooperation can be forged with the parties that will develop the area according to the detailed spatial plan.

Meanwhile, land with BMN status is the land used for government administration.

The OIKN reaffirmed its commitment to guaranteeing legal certainty and the convenience of investment in IKN.

The land preparation process was conducted along with various ministries starting from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Agrarian Affairs as well as the Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR BPN).

The OIKN understands that the land to be used for cooperation should be carefully prepared to guarantee legal certainty.

Hence, the preparation process involves various agencies in accordance with their duties and functions as well as aligning with good governance.

"Coordination with various agencies continues to be carried out, so that the process of providing land can be completed immediately," Amalia stated.
