"I will use this meeting to promote investment, especially in energy transition, green infrastructure, and development of the IKN," President Jokowi stated at a press conference before taking off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport here on Wednesday.
Jokowi said the visit, with First Lady Iriana and a limited delegation in tow, was a brief working visit.
After visiting Singapore, Jokowi will depart for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday afternoon to meet Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Malaysian King Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah.
Jokowi will be in Singapore for just a few hours.
Ecosperity Week 2023 in Singapore, themed "Breakthroughs for Net Zero," was held by Temasek Singapore.
The meeting will bring together global business leaders, policy makers, investors, and members of civil society from a variety of industries to discuss high-impact technology, policy, and financial support to deliver transformative breakthroughs for business, communities, and the planet.
After undertaking working visits to Singapore and Malaysia, Jokowi is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on Thursday evening.
