"The SatuSehat Mobile app is a health application that provides easy access for the community and helps people live healthier," said Setiaji, chief of the ministry's Digital Transformation Office, in Jakarta on Monday.
The three new features are Pengingat Minum Obat (medication reminder), Diari Kesehatan (health journal), and Pustaka Nakes (health workers search).
Pengingat Minum Obat can serve as a personal assistant that reminds users when they should take their scheduled pills.
Users can set reminders for specific types of medicines and include details such as doses and duration of consumption.
"This feature is integrated into the master data of the Health Ministry's Dictionary of Pharmacy and Medical Devices," remarked Setiaji.
With the Diari Kesehatan feature, users can independently record their health condition, including body measurements such as height, weight, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, and blood sugar content.
After recording their condition on the app, the ministry will provide recommendations to improve their health.
This feature can also detect users at risk of diabetes mellitus by comparing their BMIs and blood sugar content and analyzing the associated risks.
"This feature will be developed for other health records," added Setiaji.
Pustaka Nakes can be used to find doctors and dentists in all health centers and hospitals in Indonesia, based on the users' location.
Setiaji explained that the feature's data is sourced from the Master Nakes Index, which is integrated with the ministry's human resources information system.
"Therefore, the information is always updated, and the public can find out the doctors' practice locations and their registration certificate numbers," he explained.
