Jakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah stated that the National Productivity Agency (LPN) is expected to formulate strategic and implementable policy advice to help the president realize a productive Indonesia towards a golden Indonesia in 2045.

"I hope that results of formulation from the plenary meeting will become a reference in the future in implementing better and more sustainable LPN programs and activities," she noted at the opening of the LPN plenary meeting here on Tuesday.

Based on Presidential Regulation Number 1 of 2023, LPN is tasked with providing advice and considerations to the president in formulating policies for boosting national productivity and competitiveness as well as accelerating programs to increase national productivity and competitiveness.

In addition, the agency is tasked with carrying out the National Movement of Productivity and Competitiveness Improvement (GNP2DS) that started to be introduced several years ago.

Fauziyah stated that through the newly issued presidential regulation, the GNP2DS is re-emphasized to be realized in a concrete and contextual manner among governments, businesses and industries, education practitioners and academicians, and community groups.

She affirmed that the implementation of GNP2DS, with the support of all stakeholders at central and regional levels from various sectors, is expected to encourage the growth of the economy and the competitiveness and welfare of Indonesians.

Three results are expected from the plenary meeting, with the first being the achievement of common perceptions and understanding among participants of the LPN plenary meeting regarding LPN and GNP2DS.

The second outcome expected is the realization of a commitment to establish and strengthen the capacity of institutional networks to ramp up productivity and competitiveness, including the formation of working groups in institutions that are participating in the LPN plenary meeting.

The third projected result is the creation of programs for the improvement of productivity and competitiveness in the business sector/field and/or internal domain of institutions participating in the LPN plenary meeting, including in terms of financing.
