"The development of the 2025-2029 Digital Health Transformation Strategy departs from the 2021-2024 edition of DHTS, which at that time focused more on handling the COVID-19 pandemic," Chief of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of Kemenkes, Setiaji, stated in Jakarta, Monday.
Setiaji targets that expanding the scope of health digitalization through DHTS 2025-2029 will no longer only cover handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
In future, Setiaji said, DHTS 2025-2029 will cover all diseases in Indonesia.
"Thus, people can access their medical record data electronically," Setiaji remarked.
He said that DHTS 2025-2029 is an important foundation for the road map and implementation of digital health in Indonesia.
Moreover, Setiaji said, DHTS 2025-2029 aims to realize an interconnected health care system in Indonesia.
"The upcoming DHTS will be a reference for several important documents for Indonesia's national strategy," Setiaji noted.
Hence, the Ministry of Health is working together and urging the private sector to update DHTS, so that it aligns with the national development road map and prepares a future health care system that is more in line with developing health trends.
"The Digital Health Transformation Strategy will be an important document for the Indonesian government because this document will determine the future of Indonesia's digital health strategy landscape," he remarked.
Moreover, Setiaji stated that digital health is one of the priority sectors for the Indonesian government in establishing e-government or an Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
