May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala protect the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza and the humanitarian workersJakarta (ANTARA) - Aqsa Working Group (AWG) Chairman Anshorullah has appealed to all Indonesians to be united to continue to support the Palestinians' struggle for independence, and defend the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza.
He also urges President Joko Widodo and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi to represent all Indonesians to strengthen Indonesia's fight against the Israeli rule in the Palestinian territories.
President Widodo and Minister Marsudi are also expected to expand the international support for defending and protecting the Indonesian Hospital from the terrorist state of Israel's attacks, he said in a recorded video statement that ANTARA received here Monday.
Regarding three Indonesian humanitarian workers at the hospital, Anshorullah said the three Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) volunteers who have decided to keep staying in Gaza for humanity are really true heroes.
"They are indeed the true heroes of humanity today. Let us pray. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala protect the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza and the humanitarian workers," he said.

Anshorullah also called on Indonesians to pray for an immediate independence of Palestine, and immediate freedom of Al Aqsa Mosque from the Israeli occupation and siege.
ANTARA reported earlier that the besieged Gaza Strip has continuously been under the ongoing Israeli bombardment following a surprise attack by Hamas on Israel early in the morning on October 7.
Since the start of the war, the Israeli occupation forces continue their efforts to defeat Hamas that rules Gaza. The Israelis have even launched a ground invasion.
The Israelis, however, do not just target the Hamas fighters but also Palestinian civilians. As a result of this collective punishment, the Israeli occupation forces destroy civilian facilities, including houses of worship, houses, flats, schools, and hospitals in Gaza.
One of the hospitals getting attacked is the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza.

Prior to the assault by Palestinian liberation fighters, Israel had continued its closure of Gaza crossings.
Palestine's news agency WAFA reported on September 25 that the Israeli closure of Gaza crossings had worsened the living conditions of Palestinians in Gaza.
According to the agency, the Palestinians had already suffered from the severe impacts of "more than 17 years of tight Israeli land, sea, and air blockades."
Al Jazeera quoted Hamas, which governs Gaza, as stating that its assault on Israel was "a response to the desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence."
The ongoing Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which is home to more than two million people, has resulted in the deaths of more than eleven thousand Palestinian civilians, and triggered a humanitarian crisis.
In Israel, the official death toll in Hamas's attacks stands at about 1,200.
