"The launch of this green transport will help us expedite the development of an electricity-powered transportation system in IKN Nusantara," he remarked during the inauguration of the eco-friendly transportation system development that was followed online in Jakarta.
According to the president, a domestic transportation company PT Blue Bird Group Tbk had invested its capital to translate the green public transportation concept into reality in the future capital city of Indonesia.
The capital invested will be used for procuring electric rapid transit buses, electric taxis, electric rental cars, as well as public buses that will link IKN Nusantara with the neighboring city of Balikpapan, he remarked.

He further noted that the transportation system will be supported by integrated essential facilities, such as bus stops, that will be powered by smart technology.
"Since the beginning, we have been developing IKN Nusantara by applying the green city concept. Hence, all elements of the city, including the environment, buildings, transportation sector, and energy, should follow the concept," he remarked.
He then extended his appreciation to the investing company for its support for the government's vision of developing an eco-friendly transportation system in Nusantara that is expected to help create sustainable public mobility and realize a clean and healthy environment.
Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Hadi Tjahjanto, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the National Police (Polri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono attended the ceremony.
