"If necessary, we will provide medical services. We will deploy ambulances and prepare health posts for the festival," the head of Dinkes Jakarta, Ani Ruspitawati, said on Tuesday.
She said that each health post will have doctors and nurses on standby to provide needed services during the New Year celebration.
The Jakarta Health Service has deployed 88 personnel and 16 ambulances at several locations.
Dinkes Jakarta has also prepared seven hospitals, including Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) and Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital.
"If there are any emergency circumstances, these hospitals are prepared to handle patients," Ruspitawati said.
She urged the festivalgoers to go to the nearest health facility if they felt sick.
They can look for tents and health workers with red balloons if they need health treatment.
The Malam Muda Mudi festival is held by the Jakarta government at six locations across the city on New Year's Eve.
