"The TNI and the Police are ready to help in case KPU experiences problems in logistics distribution," Fakhiri told ANTARA here on Monday.
He explained that some regions in the Papua region are difficult to reach due to unfavorable weather conditions.
One of the hard-to-reach areas is the Mamberamo Raya District where if the river water overflows, one must walk for two to three days to reach there.
In addition, he noted that Indonesia's outer island is located in the Pacific Ocean and reaching there is difficult, as the waves can reach a height of two meters.
Meanwhile, the Papua Regional Police has two patrol boats on standby in Jayapura and the Cenderawasih District Military Command has helicopters to assist in the distribution of election logistics.
