"There are many kinds of facilities and infrastructure that can be utilized," BRIN's deputy for research and innovation utilization, Hendrian, said here on Monday.
At the signing of a cooperation agreement between BRIN and an industry partner at BJ Habibie Building, Central Jakarta, he said that the agency considers the industry as one of its most important and strategic partners for the development of research and innovation products.
This is reflected in the existence of BRIN's special directorate that handles partnerships on the use of research and innovation by the industry, he added.
According to him, BRIN's facilities and infrastructure must be utilized in accordance with real-life needs.

"In addition to the use of research facilities and infrastructure, we also have several testing schemes that can be utilized by partner industry players, such as for testing health innovation products," he revealed.
BRIN has a testing scheme for innovative agricultural, food, and technology products, Hendrian said.
It also offers incentives to industry partners, such as super tax deduction, under which partners can get a tax deduction of up to 300 percent.
The research results and innovation products covered by the super tax deduction scheme that are registered as intellectual property can be submitted for review to be commercialized or listed in the BRIN Innovation Sectoral Electronic Catalog.
BRIN also offers help to industry partners in downstreaming research products under a licensing partnership.
