The Vice Presidential Secretariat office informed that Amin and his entourage departed from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, using the Boeing 777-300 ER Presidential Aircraft on Sunday at around 19.00 local time.
The vice president will travel 9 hours and 10 minutes to Auckland International Airport, New Zealand, and is expected to arrive in New Zealand's largest city on Monday (February 26) at 10.10 local time.
The Indonesian Ambassador to New Zealand, Samoa, the Kingdom of Tonga, and the Cook Islands, Fientje Maritje Suebu, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Wellington Col Herwanto Setyono will welcome the VP's arrival in New Zealand.
After transiting for about two hours in Auckland, the Vice President will continue his trip to New Zealand's capital, Wellington, using an Indonesian Air Force Falcon aircraft, while the entourage departed using three chartered planes.
His working visit to New Zealand will begin with a friendly agenda with the ranks of the Indonesian Embassy in Wellington on February 27.
He will continue his agenda with meetings and discussions with New Zealand Prime Minister (PM) Rt Hon Christopher Luxon, and Deputy Prime Minister Rt Hon Winston Peters, as well as meeting several other important figures at the Parliament Building.
Amin is also scheduled to give a public lecture on inter-religious harmony at Victory University, Wellington, on February 28.
The next day, he is scheduled to return to Auckland to attend a Business Forum with the Halal Industry Sector and a National Dialogue with the Indonesian Community in New Zealand.
"There is consistency in the Vice President's visits to several countries, previously Europe, now New Zealand. This consistency is our goal to becoming an important part of the halal industry," the vice president's spokesperson, Masduki Baidlowi, said in a press statement before his departure.
