Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Constitutional Court (MK) of Indonesia, on Thursday (March 14), received a visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the United Kingdom to exchange views on developments in legal affairs.

As cited from MK's website here on Friday, the British envoys were accepted by the court's Acting Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Budi Wijayanto and Head of Center for Research and Case Studies Pan Mohamad Faiz in Central Jakarta.

Wijayanto noted that the MK viewed the meeting as an opportunity to establish relations with the Ministry of Justice and the Embassy of the United Kingdom to Indonesia in Jakarta.

"This initiative (meeting) is expected to provide us with an opportunity to exchange insights on developments in legal affairs, democracy, as well as protection for human rights," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Head of MK's Center for Research and Case Studies Pan Mohamad Faiz stated that his office was keen to take notes from the justice system run by the British Government.
