Mansyur's appointment is stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 98/P/2023 concerning the Appointment of Constitutional Judges.
"By God, I swear that I will fulfill the obligations of a constitutional justice as well and fairly as possible, uphold the 1945 Constitution, and carry out all laws and regulation as true as possible," he remarked while taking the oath before President Widodo.
During the inauguration, Jokowi as the president is widely known, also witnessed Mansyur reading the oath of office as an MK judge. He then signed the official report of the appointment.
According to the Supreme Court's website, Mansyur was born in Lahat, South Sumatra, on November 11, 1959.
He started his justice career as a judge candidate at the Bekasi District Court in 1986. He became an official judge at the Muara Enim District Court in 1989.

In 1998, he became a judge at the Cibinong District Court. Four years later, Mansyur was transferred to the Central Jakarta District Court until mid-2006.
In 2006, he was entrusted the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the Purwakarta District Court, and in the following year, he became the Deputy Chief Justice of the Batam District Court.
In 2008, he was promoted as chief of the court, and in 2010, he was promoted to the post of Chief Justice of Palembang District Court Special Class IA.
In 2012, the Supreme Court promoted him to Head of the Legal and Public Relations Bureau of the Supreme Court.
In mid-2017, Mansyur was entrusted the role of Deputy Chief Justice of the Bangka Belitung High Court. He held the position until the end of 2018.
He was then promoted to Deputy Chief Justice of the Semarang High Court in 2020, and in 2021, he became Registrar of the Supreme Court.
