"The fertilizer allocation prepared by the government for farmers throughout Indonesia can support the realization of food self-sufficiency," Noor noted in a statement here on Saturday.
According to the KTNA chairman, the additional allocation of subsidized fertilizers is a gift for Indonesian farmers ahead of the upcoming second planting season.
He considered that the need for fertilizer could be fulfilled during President Joko Widodo's administration.
To maximize the upcoming second planting season, his side will coordinate with farmers across the country to aid in boosting their productivity.
"Soon we will coordinate with the farmer groups to prepare their land for 2024 production," he stated.

Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman remarked that the 2024 allocation of subsidized fertilizers received an additional budget of Rp28 trillion, or US$1.7 billion, thereby bringing the total to Rp54 trillion (around US$3.4 billion).
Sulaiman remarked that fertilizer allocation was increased as a result of various meetings between the president and related ministers, including Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
He stated that the additional fertilizer allocation was officially decided through the Finance Ministerial Letter Number S-297 / MK.02.2024.
He noted that the distribution of fertilizers must involve the police, military, and local governments to tighten supervision and ensure it is on target.
He said that this year's subsidized fertilizers include chemical and organic fertilizers for nine types of commodities: rice, corn, soybeans, chili, onions, garlic, sugarcane, coffee, and cocoa.
